IVI is a non-profit international organization, founded in 1997 as an initiative of the United Nations Development Program. We work to discover, develop, and deliver safe, effective and affordable vaccines for developing countries throughout Africa, Asia and South America.
Since the world’s first low-cost oral cholera vaccine was brought to market by IVI, more than 40 million doses have been administered in over 20 countries worldwide, protecting over 20 million people from cholera. We constantly strive to innovate and work with different partners around the world to outsmart dangerous epidemics with vaccines and rid the world of infectious diseases.
