Job Description for Assistant Student Counselor

Assistant Student Counselor II Grade 8 (One position) – OUK

The Duties And Responsibilities Shall Include But Are Not Limited To:

  1. Provide individual and group counseling services;
  2. Assist in the orientation of new students;
  3. Plan for and oversee sensitization on issues of social and psychological concern;
  4. Coordinate the training of Peer Counselors and Peer Educators;
  5. Supervise Peer Educators/Counselors;
  6. Plan in-reach activities with Peer Educators and Peer Counselors;

For Assistant Student Counselor To This Grade, One MUST Have:

  1. A Bachelor’s degree in Guidance & Counseling, Education with Counseling Psychology or its equivalent from an accredited University.
  2. Proficiency in ICT.
